These Committees are the driving force behind fulfilling the mission of GWBC! They are like cylinders in an engine; each serves a purpose to move GWBC forward in its commitment to Inspire, Engage, and Empower Women-Owned Businesses and the Corporate, Government, and Alliance Partners who support them.
C.A.R.S. (Communication, Access, Resources and Special committees) represent the vision, action and support for GWBC and to ensure results and meet our goals of Inspiring, Engaging and Empowering Women-Owned Businesses and the Corporations who support them. The C.A.R.S. Committees and Sub-Committees infrastructure provides a roadmap to our achievement and becoming engaged helps you to fulfill your purpose of building successful business and personal relationships while contributing your valuable time, creativity, talent, and energy to the mission of GWBC.
C.A.R.S. is structured to involve as many committee members as possible with various degrees of responsibility from Chairing a Committee or Sub-Committee to being a part of the Committee Team. Committee Chairs are selected from the Corporate Members serving on the GWBC Board of Directors.

The GWBC Events committee is comprised of WBEs and Corporate Members who in conjunction with the Program Managers, assist with the goal of organizing and supporting the successful execution of Signature Events and Programs. The Committee will “take pulse” on the effectiveness of events and programming – evaluate if it is current, synergetic, timeless, but also scalable and with purpose.

The Voice Forum’s mission is to promote, translate and for advocate the needs, issues, and benefits of the certified WBEs. Our goal is to facilitate business opportunities and education for all qualified certified participants of the Greater Women’s Business Council. Create value-added enriched programs that are compelling and designed to inspire you to participate as a sponsor or attendee. We also create a platform for WBEs to communicate ideas; tools and resources needed to positively impact the growth and development of the businesses.
State Chairs serve as an ambassador of GWBC and WBEs in each State (two-year positions). State Chairs are responsible for executing the Vision, Goals, and Strategy to promote and advocate for WBEs in each state.

The GWBC Mentor Protege Program was created in collaboration with soe of the most admirable, engaged and, and successful GWBC WBEs and Corporate Member-Partners in business today. By providing access to dedicated mentors and subject matter authorities, the Mentor Protege Program provides the additional tools and skills WBEs need to maximize their business’s growth. The Program provides a nurturing environment, and allows WBEs to receive and share invaluable and trusted business counsel from dedicated Mentors in a variety of ares, including:

W2W answers the question to “I’m Certified, Now What?” and is the first touch-point for newly certified GWBC WBEs. W2W is a casual dialog exchange and introduction/orientation to assist WBEs in navigating through GWBC and WBENC structure. Over coffee, WBEs are informed on how to extend the value of being certified, become engaged, and learn about GWBC WBENC WBE toolkit.

The GWBC Book Club will follow a format that includes both networking, book review, and group discussion. The best part is none of the participants actually have to READ the book! Participants will be provided with a summary, for their review.
GWBC women have submitted a list of titles they have read and found valuable. Topics range from leadership to business strategy, allowing a group of cross industry professionals to meet to discuss how to grow their business.

The Committees under Resources are the nucleus of the organization. We provide the most reputable gold-standard WBE certification in the industry and the certification of choice among Women Business-Owners and Corporations. We understand the progressive impact that technology has in today’s marketplace and our focus is to deliver the innovative, dynamic, and state-of-the-art technology tools to enhance the experience, access, and capabilities of our Corporate and WBE Constituents.

The Certification Committee is responsible for the evaluation of certification and recertification applications submitted by women business owners. The process involves detailed review and evaluation of certification applications to ensure applicants meet WBENC requirements. Committee members must be trained on the WBENC Standards and Procedures for WBE certification. Please note, this committee will remain anonymous according to WBENC standards and procedures. The newly established Technology Committee is charged with streamlining delivery and strengthening GWBC’s technological capabilities and effectiveness. “Technology is an enabler of growth”
